Printing Instructions
Containers, Trailers, Accessories

Print your model out first on a regular plain sheet of paper in gray scale or black and white and practice with scoring, bending, cutting and gluing your model together looking for a tight and square fit. Once you get a feel of how its suppose to glue together and look like, go ahead and print it out in vivid colors!

We recommend printing out on Photographic or Presentation Paper Matte  8.5" X 11" LETTER size in "Best Photo" or "High quality" setting for best results. This paper gives outstanding levels in quality, resolution, color and is nice and rigid. Cardstock is not recommended. Print quality is highly compromised.

WARNING!   Make sure you setup your printer right in accordance to the paper you use and DO NOT ADJUST TO SCALE, ROTATE, CENTER OR REDUCE TO PRINTABLE AREA. Print the document " as is" or "as in document", 100% size. Your model´s correct scale is easily altered if you don’t. If your model happens to print out with incorrect dimensions, Double check your printer settings. Some printers will automatically reduce all document data to fit inside margins unless you select to print as Photo or borderless.

Photo or presentation paper weight recommendations:

HO scale: Standard models like Containers and Trailers - 220g/m2 [ 0.48lb] or greater

HO scale: Small or complex models like Accessory series, Tank container and ArroWedge - 220g/m2 [ 0.48lb] or similar

NOTE: Some models may require printing separate sections on different weighted paper. This will be specified on the actual model sheet.

Surface prints

Your surface prints are broken into separate pages so please keep this in mind. Most Surface prints are made up of multiple pages, the first being a cover sheet with the numbered sheet set up for your guidance. You're likely to cut, trim and modify the printed surfaces as desired depending on the area you plan to place them on so dont worry about making a mistake, You can always go back and reprint that one sheet number if necessary. The Concrete filler is perfect for the odd shaped areas left after trimming the main surface. Weathering the jointed sections is great for blending in. You may do this with pastels and a soft brush.

Remember you are covering hundreds of scaled yards of surface and its important to consider that large areas that are broken down into rectangular sections will look wrong on their own in more ways than one. You might find the printed sections as they come out of your printer as odd looking or blury. The true final effect of these surface prints is only achieved after an entire section is filled and completed. Once this has occurred, take a step back and enjoy the view!
